Dried Plum Chocolate Truffles with Cayenne Pepper

by Ewelina Kanty

These truffles are so easy to make! The dark chocolate and cayenne pepper go really nicely with the natural sweetness of the dried plums. If you haven't tried this combination in your recipes before, this is a great way to start.

You'll need

  • 200g pitted dried plums
  • 100g dark chocolate (70-85% cacao), chopped
  • 3 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tbs of coconut oil
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp of cayenne peper
  • extra cacao for rolling

Here's how

  1. Add the plums and chocolate into a food processor and pulse until they are finely chopped and incorporated.
  2. Add the coconut oil, cocoa powder, sea salt, cayenne peper and process until the mixture comes together.
  3. Take a large tablespoon of the mixture and press and mould into a ball.
  4. Roll each ball in extra cacao powder and let them chill in the fridge for at least one hour before eating.
