Asparagus & Puff Pastry Spirals with Parmesan, Salt and Sesame Seeds

This recipe will help you get a delicious, quick and easy snack - perfect for a movie night at home.




You'll need

  • 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
  • 10 asparagus spears
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated parmesan
  • sea salt
  • 1 tsp of sesame seeds (optional)

Here's how

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Wash the spears under running water. With a knife, cut off the woody part of the stem, that is white and tough. Dry the spears by rolling them between two kitchen towels.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut the puff-pastry sheet into 10 long and thin strips.
  4. Wrap one pastry strip in a spiral around each asparagus spear and place onto a baking paper.
  5. Lightly brush tops of pastry-wrapped asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle each with a pinch of salt, freshly grated parmesan and sesame seeds.
  6. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Serve with some garlic dip.
